Seriously, the City of Allen has some of the best playgrounds in Collin County. So, if you're looking for some free options to entertain your kids keep reading, these 5 playground in Allen will keep your kids entertained for hours.
Celebration Park, Allen
Celebration Park has incredible brightly covered playground equipment. And there is actually a purpose behind those colors — to welcome kids of all abilities by coding for the level of difficulty at each playground section. There are countless slides and climbing structures which are all connected with continuous climbing sections from one area to another.
This park is also one of the best playgrounds for wheelchairs. The structure is wheelchair accessible meaning that a wheelchair can move from one end of the structure to another and a child in a wheelchair can enjoy being in the structure. There is also access onto the structure from a hard surface pathway so that a wheelchair does not have to be pushed across mulch.
Celebration Park also has a splash pad/sprayground which is open from May 1 every summer each day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, except for Wednesdays.
Other amenities at the park include picnic tables, a covered pavilion, barbecue grills, soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, a basketball court, hike/bike trails and lighted tennis courts. Restrooms are available on-site.

Locals call Green Park "first-responder playground" or the "fire-station playground" for good reason: the playground is modeled after a fire station and police station.
For this reason, Green Park is one of the best playgrounds in Collin County for small children - they just love using their imagination to "put out fires" or pretend play policemen.
According to the parks signage, the fire-fighter-themed playground structure is made for kids ages 5-12. The police-themed part of the playground is designed for kids ages 2-5.
The park also features picnic tables and a pavilion for parents to hang out while their kids play. There are no restrooms available on-site.
