Mexican Bar Company is bringing the spirit of Día de los Muertos to Plano, Texas, with a celebration that blends tradition and flavor.
Throughout October, the restaurant will honor the Mexican holiday with offerings that invite guests to celebrate the lives of their loved ones in a meaningful way. A key part of the festivities is the restaurant’s ofrenda, an honorary altar where visitors can pay tribute to those they wish to remember.
In line with the celebration, Mexican Bar Co. created the La Ofrenda Margarita, available for the entire month. This cocktail, priced at $17.50, combines Mi Campo Blanco, blackberry puree, basil-infused agave, Solerno Blood Orange and a splash of lemon and lime juice, all served with a Tajin rim. The cocktail is set aflame, making it a bold and memorable tribute to the season.
From Nov. 1-3, Mexican Bar Co. will also offer a special five-course shared menu for two at $100. The menu features traditional Mexican dishes, with the final course offering pan de muerto, a sweet, brioche-style bread that is central to Día de los Muertos celebrations.
