CosMc’s, the innovative spinoff from McDonald’s, is quickly expanding its footprint across North Texas, with new locations set to open alongside those already operational.

The first Texas location, in North Dallas, opened in March 2024, while the Arlington and Watauga locations followed on April 2 and April 8, 2024, respectively.

Moreover, the brand has ambitious plans for future expansion. As reported by The Dallas Morning News, filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations reveal that at least two additional North Texas locations are in progress. One is slated for Allen, near Stacey Road, near the Portillo’s that opened in Sept. 2023. The other is set for Fort Worth, at the intersection of McPherson Boulevard and Summer Creek Drive. These ground-up projects are anticipated to be completed by June 2024.

As previously reported by Local Profile, the new style of CosMc’s restaurants features touch-screen ordering and a to-go model, with no seating available. The menu emphasizes a variety of drinks, including energy drinks like Galactic Boost with optional caffeine syrups or pre-workout shots. Additionally, CosMc's offers fruit-inclusion iced teas, lemonades, slushies, frappés and a range of hot and cold brews catering to diverse preferences.

In terms of food offerings, CosMc’s provides snack-like options such as pretzel or hash-brown bites, McPops, cookies and soft serve. Sandwiches like the spicy queso sandwich and breakfast staple Egg McMuffin round out the menu, although the absence of burgers and fries is notable. This departure from the traditional McDonald’s aligns with CosMc’s focus on providing a unique experience centered on quick service and beverage innovation.
