Party planning is easier and more exciting with the City of Plano’s new Pop-up Trailer.
The trailer, which first rolled out on April 25, is free for all neighborhoods that are registered as a Homeowners Association, Neighborhood Association, or Crime Watch group with the city. To verify if your group is registered, call a City of Plano Neighborhood Planner at 972.941.7151.
The trailer is decked out with everything you need. Four picnic tables, five 6-foot tables, 28 metal folding chairs, three water coolers, four ice chests, trash can and recycle trash can, work light and two extension cords, chalk board easel and chalk to advertise your event, first-aid kit, cones and barricades to close streets, and lots of games!
Games on the trailer include ladder golf, bowling, ring toss, horseshoes, jump rope, a knock over the cans game, ball-balancing racing game, and sidewalk chalk.
Block parties are a great way to meet neighbors, make new friends, and share neighborhood information in an informal, fun way. Parties have been held at neighborhood parks and on residential streets that have been blocked to traffic. Block parties held on public streets require petitions submitted 14 days prior to the event.
The party Pop-up Trailer will be conveniently delivered to your site on Friday afternoon and picked up on Monday. For complete details, email [email protected].
