The Giving Machine, a holiday-season fundraising initiative, made stops in three North Texas cities in 2024, raising $634,000 for seven local and global charities.
The unique vending machines were placed in Grapevine, McKinney and Frisco, allowing patrons to purchase and donate essential items for those in need. The initiative supported five local organizations and two global charities.
What Is The Giving Machine
Unlike traditional vending machines that dispense snacks, the red giving machines allow users to support vital causes through their contributions. The machines enable users to donate items such as clothing, baby supplies, medicine and even goats to those in need. By swiping a card, people can contribute items ranging from $5 to $150, providing essential resources for others. All donations go directly to the participating charities.
How Much Was Raised

At a check presentation on March 11, 2025, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints distributed donations to the following local groups:
- Agape – $100,157
- Salvation Army North Texas – $96,335
- Lifting Hands International – $121,400
- UNICEF – $58,336
- Lovepacs – $87,500
- 6 Stones – $89,660
- Catholic Charities Dallas – $80,862
“DFW, today was filled with tears, hugs, joy and laughter as your 2024 Giving Machine donations were presented,” Texas Giving Machine said in a Facebook post. “Your generosity brought hope beyond words to each charity. Now, our seven DFW charities can turn these gifts into real help for our neighbors in need.”
