Prepare to hit the links for a day of philanthropy at the third annual Life Changer Celebrity Golf Classic. This year’s event aims to support the nonprofit Single Parent Advocate in partnership with The Scott Murray Scholarship Foundation.
Celebrity icons set to tee off include Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Doug Donley, Cowboys safety Kenny “The Shark” Gant, Dallas Cowboys running back Timmy Newsome, actor Burton Gilliam, NFL wide receiver Mark Clayton and cornerback Chris McAlister. Returning as celebrity emcee is an Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist Scott Murray. Dallas Cowboys legend Bob Lilly, and his wife Ann are the event’s honorary chairs.
The entirety of the funds raised from this event will go directly to supporting Single Parent Advocate, a nonprofit dedicated to offering resources, aid and empowerment to single parents and their children in Texas.
Part of the proceeds will also be allocated to educational scholarships through the Scott Murray Scholarship Foundation, which aids single parents and their children in pursuing higher education.
According to Single Parent Advocate, one in four children in the U.S. are growing up in single-parent households. “By supporting this event, you're helping to break the cycle of poverty and empower single parents and their children to thrive.”
Attendees have the opportunity to win incredible prizes graciously offered by Huffines Automotive Dealerships in honor of their 100th anniversary. Prizes range from a car or SUV to an exhilarating trip, along with a $500 shopping spree for top-notch golf gear.
The event at the Clubs of Prestonwood – The Hills Clubhouse features an 18-hole championship journey, crafted by renowned golf course architect Dave Bennett. Tucked away in a secluded locale with a community atmosphere, the course showcases undulating hills, serene water features and vibrant greenery.
