NBA G League franchise, the Texas Legends, announced a new partnership with Esports Virtual Arenas (EVA).
EVA is a virtual reality (VR) gaming experience that originated in Europe. The company recently opened its first U.S. virtual gaming facility in Flower Mound, Texas. Currently, guests can chose between two games with 1-10 players. Each costs $29 for 40 minutes of play time.
The 24,000-square-foot Texas arena allows players to immerse themselves in a variety of games, which utilize VR technology and free-roaming play spaces to promote action-packed, competitive matches.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Legends,” said EVA Flower Mound President Salem Thyne. “They are one of the most innovative teams in sports, so this partnership just made sense for both of us. We are excited to be in Texas and to get involved in a community that’s so welcoming, and the Legends Family is a great place for us to start.”
As part of the newly established partnership, the Texas Legends will be displaying EVA branding on their schedule cards and at all home games.
Additionally, the G League organization will also provide EVA coupons to fans to promote North Texas’ newest entertainment option.
“EVA is the next big thing in this area and will quickly take off across the states, so we are excited to introduce our fanbase to something so unique and fun,” said Malcolm Farmer, Texas Legends president.
