Centurion American Development Group's latest master-planned community, Collin Creek, is gearing up to welcome its first homeowners. Single-family townhomes are available for purchase, with move-ins starting as early as October.

Once completed, the Collin Creek project will feature 500 single-family homes, 2,300 multi-family units and 300 independent living residences. The community will also include 300,000 square feet of retail space, with over 60,000 square feet dedicated to restaurants at the former Collin Creek Mall site. Designed to be pedestrian-friendly, Collin Creek will offer eight acres of park space and 1.6 miles of walking trails.

“Collin Creek will be one of the most unique communities in North Texas,” said Centurion American’s CEO Mehrdad Moayedi in an official statement. “Partnering with the city of Plano has allowed us to reimagine a significant Collin County landmark in a way which retains the history of the original mall while creating a forward-looking community designed to bring Plano into its next century.”

Several builders are offering a range of home designs, including Ashton Woods, Brightland Homes and Mattamy Homes.

Ashton Woods is offering two- and three-story townhomes that range from 1,572 to 2,413 square feet. Each three- and four-bedroom design features an open-concept kitchen-living-dining area, spacious walk-in closets, and a two-car garage. Prices for these homes start at $495,000.

Brightland Homes also offers a diverse selection of floorplans and sizes, with square footage from 1,522 to 2,222. The two- and three-bedroom townhomes boast open-concept living areas, two-car garages and various upgraded décor features, starting at $479,990.

The last builder, Mattamy Homes, has a range of three-story floorplans to Collin Creek, with homes measuring between 2,325 and 2,362 square feet, all featuring at least 3.5 baths. Many of these units include a first-floor bedroom, Energy-Star appliances, and options for large game rooms and studies. Prices start at $594,950.

Opened in 1981, Collin Creek Mall became a key part of Collin County's development as its first major shopping complex and a community hub. However, after closing in 2019, its future was uncertain. The city of Plano partnered with Centurion to launch the $1 billion redevelopment project, focusing on revitalizing an area identified as underserved.
