18.2 Acre Senior Living Community Nears Completion In Plano, Texas

The facility will offer apartments, cottage homes and memory support suites

This fall, senior living community The Outlook on Windhaven will be complete and open to new residents.

The development community at Haggard Farms began construction in late 2022. Once complete, it will feature 153 independent living apartment homes, 30 independent living cottage homes, 32 assisted living apartment homes and 24 memory support suites.

“We share one mission at The Outlook at Windhaven: to create an elevated senior living experience for our residents that will be unmatched not just in Plano, but anywhere,” a statement from The Outlook on Windhaven said.

Over the next several weeks, the community by Forefront Living will see significant progress in construction. The assisted living and memory support (AL/MS) dining room will be nearing completion, alongside continued floor installation and fireplace work. The mail room, bistro and wine bar will also approach completion, as will the stage area of the multi-purpose room in the commons building.

Work will also continue on finishes in the fitness and pool areas, while AL/MS residences on the 2nd and 3rd floors will be nearing completion, along with the finishes for AL/MS common areas on these floors. Additionally, installation of countertops, backsplashes, ceilings and lighting will proceed. Landscaping and hardscaping in the community courtyard, situated between the commons and AL/MS buildings, will be nearing completion, with ongoing work around the commons building and the Independent living pool courtyard.

At completion, The Outlook will offer a variety of dining options, including restaurant-style dining, a grab-and-go bistro, a wine bar and outdoor dining. The main building at The Outlook will house a range of popular services and amenities, such as an indoor pool, beauty salon and spa, various dining venues, a yoga and dance studio, a fitness center, a commons area with a fireplace, guest suites and many additional features.

According to the city of Plano, on the other side of Windhaven along Parkwood will be The Almanac. Developed by Stillwater Capital, The Almanac will include more than 10 acres of green space, a boutique hotel, office space, retail space, multifamily units and townhomes.
