North Texas Giving Day is set for this Thursday, Sept. 21, featuring participation from over three thousand non-profit organizations in North Texas counties eager to receive donations.
NTX Giving Day is a community-wide online fundraising event spanning 18 hours, providing an opportunity for individuals to contribute to charitable organizations. The program is administered by the Communities Foundation of Texas, which garnered $62.6 million in donations in 2022, thanks to the support of 94,385 donors benefiting 3,210 local nonprofits.
“North Texas Giving Day is for everyone, and every gift matters,” Monica Christopher, senior vice president, chief giving and community impact officer at Communities Foundation of Texas previously said. “North Texas Giving Day empowers every local nonprofit and every North Texan to raise the bar of generosity, and to deepen our sense of community support, pride and impact.”
During last year’s event over 3,000 nonprofits stand to benefit from the fundraiser. Of those were 382 Collin County nonprofits which received nearly $7.5 million in total donations.
“During NTX Giving Day, everyone can find their passion, and give with purpose, uniting to build a stronger and more vibrant community,” a statement from Communities Foundation of Texas read.
Early giving day has already begun and those who wish to donate can click here to support organizations such as Priderock Wildlife Refuge, Women Leading Technology, Plano Youth Leadership and much more.
"North Texas Giving Day's 15th anniversary is a celebration of the remarkable impact we can achieve as a community,” said Peter Miller with the Meadows Foundation. “The Meadows Foundation supports this event because we see the difference and positive ripples it creates. It truly matters."
Donations of one dollar or more can be made out to any of the participating nonprofits at NorthTexasGivingDay.org via Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo or credit card.
