The city of Frisco is actively gathering community input to shape its 2025-2029 five-year consolidated plan and 2025-2026 annual action plan. These plans are essential for securing federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), enabling the city to address critical needs related to housing, economic and community development and homelessness.

To ensure these plans reflect the community's priorities, Frisco invites residents to participate in a confidential survey. The feedback collected will play a key role in identifying and addressing local challenges, helping the city allocate resources effectively. The survey is open to all Frisco residents and will remain active until 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2024.

The city of Frisco's Community Development Division previously completed its 2020-2024 five-year consolidated plan and submitted the 2024 annual action plan to HUD in August 2024. The city was awarded $726,074 in Community Development Block Grant funds from HUD for the 2024 program year. Additionally, the city anticipates earning approximately $13,000 in program income and reallocating $53,668 in unused funds from previous years, bringing the total funding for 2024 to $792,742. By law, Frisco can use up to 15% of its funding for public services.
The program focuses on supporting projects and activities that benefit low- and moderate-income individuals, address community development needs and combat urban blight. These funds will be utilized for eligible projects and initiatives throughout the 2024 program year, which runs from Oct. 1, 2024, to Sept. 30, 2025.
