Frisco, Texas, is a rapidly growing and attractive city for both businesses and residents. Several major corporations have established their presence in Frisco, which contributed to the city's economic development and overall appeal. But with more business comes the need for additional housing.

A new study by Rent Cafe revealed that Frisco is one of the top zip codes in the U.S. with the most apartment construction.

Between 2018 and 2022, the 75034 zip code experienced a surge in residential development, adding a total of 5,872 new apartment units. This location is a preferred destination for commuters and is renowned for its affluent communities.

But it’s not just the quality businesses making people choose Frisco as their home. An impressive 96% of the units constructed in the past five years in this area are classified as “high-end” rental properties.

Over the span of five years, the 75034 zip code witnessed a notable addition of 5,872 new apartment units, marking a substantial increase of 69.5% in the housing inventory. Within this area, the median income stands at $65,816, while the median age is relatively youthful at 35.6 years.

The only other zip codes ahead of Frisco were 37203 (Nashville), 11101(Queens), 20003 (Washington, DC) and 20002 (Washington, DC).

Frisco is also a top location for families. As previously reported by Local Profile, Frisco was found to be one of the happiest cities in the U.S. The study findings determine that Frisco is the fifth happiest city in the U.S. The city secured the top position in two categories, boasting the highest marriage rate (62.6%) and the lowest percentage of residents living below the poverty level (2.5%).

The city also ranked second for its affordability, with living costs compared to the median household income at 29.55%, and it has a low violent crime rate (approximately 86 crimes per 100,000 residents).
