Beginning Monday, July 15, the Frisco Public Library driveway connecting to Dallas Parkway will close for approximately one month as part of the ongoing Dallas Parkway widening project. This closure aims to facilitate reconstruction efforts along the thoroughfare, necessitating temporary adjustments for local commuters.

During this period, drivers accustomed to this route are advised to utilize alternative access points via the two library driveways on Cotton Gin Rd. Detailed directions can be found on the city's official website.

Upon completion of the reconstruction, the revamped driveway will operate as a dedicated one-way entrance, exclusively accommodating inbound traffic towards the library and the discovery center. Outbound traffic from these facilities will continue to utilize the existing driveways leading to Cotton Gin Rd., which eventually merges onto Dallas Parkway via a designated traffic signal.

“Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and to seek an alternate route in advance,” reads the official statement. “Use the Waze app to navigate around road closures.  Click here to learn about Waze or install it on your smartphone.”
