Filson, the esteemed American heritage brand known for its rugged outdoor gear and century-old legacy, is set to make its Texas debut with a new store-in-store location in Plano on Thursday, Aug. 29.
Located within the Shinola store at 1039 E. 15th Street, this 900-square-foot space will bring the spirit of the Pacific Northwest to Plano, marking a significant expansion for the 127-year-old brand that has long been a favorite among explorers, adventurers, and city dwellers alike.
Founded in Seattle in 1897, Filson originally catered to prospectors headed for the Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush. Over the years, the brand has built a reputation for producing durable, high-quality gear trusted by ranchers, hunters, engineers and outdoor enthusiasts nationwide. With its Plano location, Filson extends its reach into a new market, adding to its existing 12 standalone stores nationwide.
To celebrate the opening, Filson will host a welcome brunch on Saturday, Aug. 31, featuring a breakfast buffet and a bloody mary bar. The event, open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will allow guests to explore Filson’s latest offerings, including their debut women’s collection.
The Plano store will operate Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing ample time for visitors to discover the brand’s extensive product line.
