Downtown Plano is gearing up once again for an artistic adventure that promises to unite the community through creativity. Set for Thursday, Sept. 5, Downtown Plano Art Drop Day invites locals to participate in a creative scavenger hunt where hidden pieces of original artwork await discovery.
The event, inspired by last year's success, aims to foster a sense of connection among neighbors while spotlighting the talent of local artists. Participants can expect to stumble upon various artworks strategically placed throughout the downtown Plano Arts District. Clues guiding seekers to these treasures will be exclusively available on the event's Facebook page and Instagram stories.
Local artists interested in participating are encouraged to submit their pieces by Aug. 22 to be included in the day's festivities. Each artwork, once found, becomes a gift to its discoverer, who is encouraged to share their find on social media using the hashtags #ArtDropDay2024 and @downtownplano.
Organizers will announce the official start time and hunt boundaries as the event day nears. Interested participants are encouraged to RSVP to stay updated on the latest art drop locations throughout the day.
