The Collin County Crime Victim’s Council is hosting its annual Evening of Empowerment to help crime victims by providing access to resources necessary to continue to heal. This event assists victims and families in need to obtain common household items.
This is the 11th year of this annual event, and the community’s support is needed to succeed. For more information about the event or how to support the event, please get in touch with the Victim Services Unit at 972-941-2680.
Items needed for donation:
- Cleaning products: Clorox wipes, 409 Cleaning spray, Windex, toilet cleanser, dish soap, detergent, cleanser, bleach, fabric softener, dryer sheets, cleaning sponges
- Hair products: Shampoo, conditioner (for all hair types, including curly and textured hair)
- Soap: liquid or bar, body wash, hand soap
- Feminine products: Pads, tampons
- Hygiene products: Toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant
- Child care products: Diapers, pull-ups, wipes, baby food, baby formula
- Clothing: New and gently used, all sizes
- Purses: All sizes
"Thank you in advance for all your continued support with this important project," the Plano Police Department said in a statement. "This event is made possible by the generosity of people like you in our community."
Donations for this Collin County Crime Victim Council event may be dropped off at Plano Police Department Victim Services suite at 909 14th St., Plano, or the Municipal Center Lobby collection box at 1520 K Ave, Plano, TX by April 19th, 2024.
