Starting May 1, 2024, DFW International Airport will adjust parking rates. The changes aim to support ongoing infrastructure enhancements and service improvements. Daily rates will increase from $2 to $5, with an additional $3 charge for drivers passing through the airport.
“The updated rates are the result of a comprehensive marketplace review to ensure parking products are both competitive and support the airport’s non-aeronautical revenue,” reads an official statement released by DFW International Airport.
These adjustments are part of DFW's strategy to generate non-aeronautical revenue and fund over $500 million in planned roadway and parking upgrades. These upgrades include the International Parkway project and the reconstruction of terminal C's parking facilities.
While the cost for dropping off or picking up passengers remains unchanged at $2 for vehicles spending between 8 to 30 minutes on-premises, the statement reflects that DFW's parking rates remain competitive compared to similar-sized airports. The airport has raised rates only twice in the past seven years, citing rising material and labor costs due to inflation.
To provide travelers with savings and flexibility, DFW encourages pre-booking online, offering potential savings of up to 50% on drive-up rates. Additionally, the remote north parking lot, which closed during the pandemic, has reopened, with promotional rates as low as $4 per day for bookings made before April 14 for travel through May 10.
