The United States Tennis Association (USTA) named the Denton Tennis and Pickleball Center one of its 2024 Outstanding Facility Award winners. This national accolade celebrates excellence in the construction and renovation of tennis facilities across the country.
The Denton Tennis and Pickleball Center features 12 lighted tennis courts and eight lighted pickleball courts. The center supports both recreational and competitive play with a range of programs and lessons for all ages.
“This recognition is a testament to our commitment to provide top-tier recreational facilities for our community,” said Gary Packan, director of parks and recreation in an official statement. “The Denton Tennis and Pickleball Center exemplifies our mission to bring people together, foster personal growth through sport, and provide a space for everyone to play.”
The USTA’s award criteria include facility layout, court surfaces, lighting, maintenance, player and spectator accommodations, aesthetics, signage and involvement in grassroots tennis programs. The Denton Tennis and Pickleball Center’s design and community engagement distinguished it in this competitive field.
