Children's HealthSM recently announced that Children’s Medical Center Dallas was recognized as one of the nation's top pediatric hospitals in U.S. News & World Report's 2024-2025 rankings. It remains the only hospital in North Texas, and one of a select few nationwide, to be ranked in every pediatric specialty in the prestigious best children’s hospitals report.
This year marks the seventh consecutive year and the 13th time since 2008 that Children’s Medical Center Dallas has been recognized as one of the nation’s top pediatric hospitals across all specialties. Notably, the specialty categories expanded from 10 to 11 this year, with the addition of pediatric and adolescent behavioral health, where the hospital earned a ranking in its inaugural year.
“These honors reflect the excellence exhibited daily by UT Southwestern and Children’s Health in our quest to provide the best possible outcomes for every child and family who seeks our expertise,” said UT Southwestern Medical Center President Dr. Daniel K. Podolsky in an official statement. “We look forward to continuing to elevate clinical innovation and transformative science in the years ahead as our new joint pediatric campus takes shape to meet the needs of the rapidly growing Dallas-Fort Worth region.”
This year, Children’s Medical Center Dallas is ranked nationally in 11 pediatric specialties as follows: orthopedics is ranked No. 2, urology No. 8, and gastroenterology and GI surgery No. 10. In addition, cardiology and heart surgery holds the No. 15 spot, followed by neonatology at No. 17 and cancer at No. 18. Neurology and neurosurgery is also ranked No. 18, while nephrology and pulmonology and lung surgery are both at No. 20. Diabetes and endocrinology ranks No. 21, and behavioral health has received recognition as well.
