What To Expect

The Pickleball World Championships are set to once again deliver an unforgettable amateur competition, welcoming players of all ages and skill levels to battle for gold, personal triumph or simply the joy of the game. The week will be packed with pickleball clinics, exciting matches, social events and more — creating the perfect environment for both seasoned competitors and newcomers alike.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring our signature event, the Pickleball World Championships, back to Brookhaven Country Club for the third year in a row,” said PPA Tour Founder and CEO Connor Pardoe in an official statement. “This year’s edition will see Pickleball Boulevard go bigger and better than ever with a bolstered lineup of clinics and programming, enhanced fare options, and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy while cheering on the greatest players in the world as they compete for the ultimate crown in pro pickleball.”
Past Success In North Texas
In 2024, participation soared to over 4,200 players — 700 more than in 2023. Amateur athletes remain the heartbeat of the sport, and this event offers a rare chance to compete, connect and create lasting memories on the grandest stage in pickleball.
On the professional side, last year’s tournament showcased the dominance of 18-year-old phenom Anna Leigh Waters, who captured Gold Medals in both women’s singles and mixed doubles alongside multi-time champion Ben Johns. In men’s singles, Dallas native Michael Lloyd delivered a stunning performance, blazing through the competition with upset victories over top-ranked players Dylan Frazier, J.W. Johnson and Johns. His Cinderella run culminated in a Championship Sunday showdown against World No. 1 Federico Staksrud, where his incredible journey finally came to an end.
2024 Economic Impact

In 2024, over 57,500 attendees experienced the excitement of Pickleball Boulevard, where daily festivities featured thrilling amateur tournaments, engaging programming, diverse food and drink options and shopping.
Meanwhile, fans watched the world’s top pickleball players compete at the highest level in the pro divisions. According to a city of Farmers Branch economic impact study, the event generated $15.7 million for the local economy.
