Reality TV dreamers, drama lovers and competitive schemers — this one's for you. Big Brother is coming to town, and no, this isn’t a metaphor for government surveillance. But there will be plenty of cameras.

The iconic CBS reality show is holding an open casting call at The Grotto at Grandscape on Sunday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and yes, it’s as delightfully chaotic as it sounds.

Big Brother Comes To Town

Julie Chen Moonves, the show’s longtime host and the unofficial queen of summer suspense, posted the casting call on Instagram Wednesday with a breezy “Hello TX.”

Naturally, it sent North Texas into a frenzy. Who wouldn’t want to spend three months trapped in a house with strangers while being filmed 24/7 and occasionally dressed in giant fruit costumes?

For the uninitiated (where have you been?), Big Brother is part social experiment, part strategic battle royale. Based on the 1999 Dutch original, the American version has been running strong for 25 years, serving up alliances, betrayals and enough diary room confessionals to fill a psychology textbook.

How To Join The Casting Call

All you have to do is head over to Grotto at Grandscape on April 6, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The hardest part of the day will be waiting in line (and maybe having your personality judged a bit).

The open call is free and open to all brave souls 18 and older. No need to bring a résumé — just your charm and a willingness to live without your phone for the summer (gasp!). There's no telling who might show up. Local bartenders? Retired gym teachers? Maybe a city council member chasing one last hurrah before budget season hits?

We’re not saying we want to see The Colony Mayor Richard Boyer in a veto competition with Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney... but we’re not not saying that either.

So dust off your best catchphrase, practice that slow-motion entrance and get ready. North Texas might just have the next Big Brother legend waiting in line at Grotto in Grandscape this Sunday.
