Triten Real Estate Partners will soon introduce new additions to Assembly Park the mixed-use neighborhood that is transforming a 1980s shopping mall into a community. Adding to its growing commercial lineup, the development will soon feature three original restaurant concepts.
Assembly Icehouse, the first food and beverage concept, will offer a family-friendly environment in a sports bar atmosphere. Spanning 4,850 square feet, the space will feature a large, full-service bar, over 20 televisions and a spacious covered outdoor patio with both dining and lounge seating. The patio will overlook the development’s central park, providing a perfect spot for parents to enjoy a meal while kids play nearby. Additionally, two 15-foot LED screens will be installed — one in the main dining area and another on the patio, visible from the park.
Tacoro will operate as a quick-service, pick-up-and-go Mexican restaurant and taqueria. The 2,000-square-foot space will feature a full-service bar offering blended margaritas and an extensive selection of tequila and mezcal. For those looking to dine in, light seating options will be available.
The last space, Cliff Coffee, draws inspiration from the vibrant colors and landscapes of the American Southwest. With warm tones, textured decor and cozy seating, this 2,000-square-foot coffee shop is designed to invite students, professionals, and guests to relax and stay awhile. Locally sourced baked goods and coffee will be available.
“As members of the local community, we recognized the shortage of nearby opportunities where kids can run free, parents can relax, and groups of friends can gather,” Blender Brands Managing Member Jacob Cox said in an official statement “We knew Assembly Park was set to be a game changer. We believe the human desire to congregate in an activated, outdoor environment, like what Assembly Park offers, meets the demands of today’s food and beverage consumers. Our hope with the introduction of these new concepts is to spur opportunity and continued growth for East Plano as well as encourage gathering for our residents, students and workers.”
The new dining spots are the brainchild of local entrepreneurs Jacob Cox and Danny Wilson, co-founders of Blender Brands, a hospitality group they launched in 2015, along with JR Muñoz, the owner of Deep Ellum’s popular neighborhood restaurant, Will Call. JR Muñoz will lead the culinary development for each new restaurant, while organizing ongoing events for nearby residents and visitors.
