Morgan Twain-Peterson brings bold bottles and big flavor to a one-night dinner in Dallas

Ready to wine a little? On May 7, Nuri Steakhouse is popping bottles and plates for an exclusive four-course dinner hosted by Morgan Twain-Peterson, Master of Wine and co-owner of California’s Bedrock Wine Co. The event begins at 6 p.m. and promises a night of bold pours, rich bites and a deep dive into the art of old vine winemaking.

Twain-Peterson is one of just a handful of Masters of Wine in the U.S., and this dinner marks a rare opportunity to sip and chat with the winemaker behind some of California’s most storied vines. In 2020, Bedrock was named Winery of the Year by critic Antonio Galloni — and yes, the wines are as good as the title sounds.

The Menu: Where Steak Meets Sonoma

The evening starts with bubbly — specifically, the 2015 Under the Wire Hirsch Pinot Noir Sparkling Wine — paired with jumbo lump crab cake and Wagyu dumplings. From there, each course comes with a matching Bedrock wine and just the right amount of culinary drama:

  • Yellowtail crudo with Sonoma Valley sauvignon blanc

  • Dry-aged lamb chop with kimchi fried rice, paired with two heritage blends

  • Butter-poached strip loin with zinfandels from “Katushas’ Vineyard” and “Beeson Vineyard”

  • A final dark chocolate tart for the sweet finish
