The Brass Tap, a craft beer bar and entertainment venue franchise, announced that it will be opening its first location in Plano, Texas, on March 15.

Located at 5805 Preston Rd Ste 594, the bar will come equipped with a variety of local beers (40, to be exact), specialty cocktails and premium wine options, which can all be paired with the venue’s lineup of shareable foods.

In addition to its food and beverage offerings, the Plano location will also include the same entertainment options that The Brass Tap is renowned for, including live music, trivia nights, sporting event showings, exclusive beer tastings and tap takeovers, to name a few.

Spearheading The Brass Tap in Plano is the bar’s owner and operator, Ridham Bhatt. Bhatt’s connection with the franchise began back when he was a regular patron of The Brass Tap’s location in Allen, Texas.

Impressed by the venue’s rotating selection of craft brews and “neighborhood bar experience,” Bhatt, his cousin Kirat Shahiwala and his friend Ravi Patel all made the decision to partner with the brand and open their first Brass Tap location in Rockwall, Texas, back in 2020.

Since then, the trio has opened three additional Texas bars in Dallas, Sachse and Richardson — with another location set to open in Leander this month.

“We are excited to bring The Brass Tap neighborhood bar to the Plano community, as we think it is in need of a good upscale neighborhood bar that offers 100-plus beer selections, 50 of them being on tap, along with a wide variety of food offerings,” said Bhatt. “We believe it will add value to the neighborhood and it will be the go-to-place for locals with weekly events being offered such as trivia, karaoke, music bingo and live bands.”

The Brass Tap was originally founded in 2008 in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Since that time, the franchise has opened nearly 50 bars throughout 16 U.S. states, including 16 in Texas — with the upcoming Plano venue marking the brand’s 17th establishment in the Lone Star State.

“We are fortunate to be growing quickly with operators like Ridham Bhatt,” said Heather Boggs, chief marketing officer of The Brass Tap. “We are excited to continue to grow with their team across the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.”

With the opening of the Plano location, The Brass Tap said that it expects the bar to create around 30 employment opportunities in the area.
