Talkin’ Tacos, originally a food truck that evolved into a fast-casual Mexican restaurant known for its innovative, scratch-made dishes, is set to open its first Texas location on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024.
The new restaurant, located at 8442 Parkwood Blvd. in Parkwood Village, will kick off with a grand opening celebration at 6 p.m. The first 100 guests in line will receive a free order of the restaurant’s signature birria tacos. The evening will also feature live music, entertainment and photo opportunities with an LED Robot.

The dynamic food culture here makes it the perfect place for us to expand, and we can't wait to become a part of this community by serving up the bold, authentic flavors that have made Talkin Tacos a hit."
A standout feature of the menu is their beef birria, which is braised daily for 12 hours to achieve maximum tenderness and flavor. The chef-driven menu will highlight popular items such as birria tacos, birria ramen, southwest chicken tacos, birria pizza and street corn in a cup. Guests can also indulge in desserts like loaded churros and Tajin & Chamoy gummies, as well as refreshing homemade specialty drinks including lemonades, horchatas and mangonadas.
The 2,800 sq. foot venue will offer indoor seating for 60 guests and outdoor seating for 40. The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere is highlighted by hand-painted murals and neon signs, creating an energetic yet relaxed vibe. To enhance the dining experience, technology features such as self-serve kiosks allow guests to place orders efficiently, streamlining the process and speeding up service by eliminating the need for cashiers.
Talkin' Tacos started in 2020, fueled by a passion for authentic flavors. What started as a humble food truck navigating the lively streets of Miami has since expanded into a culinary sensation, delighting taste buds across Florida and the East Coast. In just four years, the brand has grown rapidly, with 16 locations currently open and another seven set to debut this year.
