In celebration of Black History Month, SusieCakes is partnering with Uncle Nearest this February, a female and black-owned business dedicated to honoring African American culture through their whiskey.

The bakery is offering the Uncle Nearest 1884 Vanilla Cupcake from now through Feb. 29, 2024. The cupcake is made with SusieCakes’ signature vanilla cupcake topped with a blonde whiskey buttercream icing, made from Uncle Nearest 1884 small batch whiskey. The cupcakes are $5.49 each and are sold in boxes of 4, 8 and 12.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Uncle Nearest as they raise money for their HBCU Old Fashioned Challenge.

Uncle Nearest is proud to be the first whiskey to honor an African American, representing Nathan “Nearest” Green, a formerly enslaved man who went on to become the first Master Distiller. Nearest was also a beloved mentor and teacher to his star pupil, young Jack Daniels. Uncle Nearest is a female-led, Black-owned company, with CEO and co-founder, Fawn Weaver, as the first Black woman to be a CEO and owner of a major spirit brand.

To place an order, go to susiecakes.com or visit the SusieCakes locations at Preston Center, Hillside Village and in Fort Worth.
