José, the James Beard semifinalist Mexican restaurant in Dallas, is offering enticing summer specials. These include a seasonal summer menu, an all-day happy hour on Mondays and an agave of the month program for tequila and mezcal enthusiasts.
This summer, José's menu features exclusive dishes such as the seasonal crudo, which incorporates local summer fruits and chile peppers, with offerings like hamachi with lime and a seasonal garnish. Another favorite is the watermelon salad, featuring pepita pesto, heirloom cherry tomatoes and jalapeño goat cheese. For those seeking something smooth yet spicy, the avocado gazpacho is a must-try. Additionally, the ice-cold frozen watermelon margarita remains a seasonal favorite.
To enhance the summer experience, José also extended its happy hour to all day on Mondays. Normally available Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the happy hour menu includes half-off drinks such as draft beers, frozen seasonal margaritas and select red and white wines.
José's agave of the month program offers a unique feature for tequila and mezcal lovers. Each month, the restaurant partners with a different agave brand to create a signature cocktail. Current and upcoming featured brands include El Tesoro for July, Casa Noble in August and Casa Dragones in September. Diners are encouraged to ask their server about the agave of the month for a distinctive experience.
José is open Sunday through Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Reservations can be made online or by calling 214. 891.5673.
