Coffee chain Scooter’s Coffee announced that it will be opening the doors to its brand new drive-thru location in Frisco, Texas this upcoming weekend.
Located at 9489 Preston Road, the newest establishment from Scooter’s Coffee serves as a major milestone for the company, as it will be the coffee brand’s 750th location in the U.S.
In commemoration of this achievement, Scooter’s says that its newest North Texas location and the Frisco Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a ribbon cutting and “Kickoff Celebration” on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at 11 a.m. With the opening festivities, Scooter’s aims to generate excitement in the local community ahead of the upcoming Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl, a college football game that is set to take place at Toyota Stadium on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
The ribbon-cutting event will feature giveaways that include t-shirts, keychains and Scooter’s Coffee Smiley stickers; a special BOGO offer where guests receive a free drink with the purchase of a beverage through the brand’s mobile app; as well as a contest in which the winner will receive a pair of tickets to the upcoming football match.
“We are excited to open our 750th Scooter’s Coffee drive-thru location in one of the most spirited football markets in the country, and we look forward to sharing our amazing brand and love for all things coffee to new customers,” said Joe Thornton, president of Scooter’s Coffee. “This milestone, intertwined with the Dec. 19 Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl, underscores our commitment to being a vibrant part of the Frisco community.”
Originally founded back in 1998 in Bellevue, Nebraska, Scooter’s Coffee now offers drive-thru locations in 30 states throughout the country.
The coffee chain — which ranked 13th on Yelp’s 2023 list of “50 Most Loved Brands in the U.S.” — offers an array of specialty espresso beverages, hot and cold brewed coffee, fruit smoothies, fresh pastries, savory breakfast options, kids drinks and more.
The Scooter’s Frisco location is owned and operated by Rustin Perez and her sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Marc Robertson. Robin says that the ownership trio are ecstatic to be establishing the specialty coffee brand in the Frisco area.
"Bringing Scooters Coffee to Frisco, to our friends and community who have been a part of our lives in so many ways over the past 20 years, is very exciting for us,” said Robin Robertson. “Not only is Scooter’s Coffee a perfect fit for our family business, but we believe it is a perfect fit for the Frisco community."
