Rodeo Goat’s Big Tex Burger Returns For State Fair Of Texas

The burger will be available from Sept. 27 through Oct. 20

The State Fair of Texas can’t come soon enough, and neither can the Big Texas burger from Rodeo Goat, returning this year.

Rodeo Goat will soon pay tribute to the State Fair of Texas with a nod to the iconic Big Tex. Available from Sept. 27 to Oct. 20, the Big Tex burger is a decadent creation with a 44 Farms all-beef patty, chicken-fried mashed potato cake, bacon, fried onion ring and chorizo gravy, all for $13.49. There’s not much more Texas than this.

Seasonal specials will also be available including pumpkin spice goat balls — deep-fried, cheesecake-filled treats coated in pumpkin spice and served with a mascarpone dip.

Rodeo Goat’s newest location is set to open this fall at 14941 Midway Road, in the former Spring Creek BBQ spot near Beltline Road. The 6,000-square-foot space will offer plenty of room for both dine-in and outdoor patio dining, as well as a free-standing bar.

“Everyone was asking for a Rodeo Goat in Addison and we listened,” Shannon Wynne, co-founder of Rodeo Goat, previously said. “The newly renovated Midway Road with a network of running trails is the perfect spot. Additionally, our Flying Saucer Beerknurds will have a new place to grab a beer.”
