Plano Mayor, Chief Of Police, Fire Chief Honored With Burgers At Ford’s Garage

National Cheeseburger Day is coming up on Sept.18, and Ford’s Garage is celebrating by highlighting its burgers of fame menu. This special menu features a range of unique burgers, many topped with cheese, each named to honor notable figures in the community.

This year, the local burgers of fame menu at Ford’s Garage, located at 3904 North Dallas Parkway in Plano, features a variety of burgers, each named to honor a distinguished community member.

The Black N Bleu pays tribute to Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner, and is crafted with blackened seasoning, crumbled bleu cheese, applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, lettuce and tomato, all served on a pretzel bun.

The Estate Burger honors John B. Muns, mayor of Plano. It includes smoked gouda cheese, sweet red onion marmalade, arugula, tomato, fried onion straws and white truffle bacon aioli, nestled in a brioche bun.

The High-Octane is dedicated to Plano Fire Chief Chris Biggerstaff. This burger features Tillamook pepper jack cheese, guacamole, chipotle ketchup, lettuce, tomato, red onion and fresh jalapeño peppers, all piled on a brioche bun.

Lastly, the Bison Bacon celebrates Plano Chief of Police Ed Drain. It includes a bison burger topped with Tillamook sharp cheddar, bacon jam, bourbon barbecue sauce, arugula, an onion ring and chipotle aioli, served on a brioche bun.
