Nikki Greek Bistro & Lounge is set to debut in early 2024 at 5757 W Lovers Lane, Suite 101, Dallas, Texas, at the Dallas North Tollway intersection. This restaurant and lounge will showcase an array of Greek cuisine, representing the various regions of Greece.

Lisa and Tom Georgalis, the proprietors behind The Ivy Tavern, envisioned a fresh dining experience with their latest creation. They've drawn upon cherished family recipes alongside unique dishes rarely found in American Greek restaurants.

Inspired by Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, Nikki is poised to offer a welcoming atmosphere, delectable cuisine and a communal hub for the local community. This concept will comprise an elegant contemporary bistro and an inviting lounge where patrons can savor pre- or post-dinner beverages, as well as indulge in appetizers and cocktails well into the evening.

“After our son's near-fatal car accident we decided that it was time to open Nikki, a concept we have been cultivating for over 7 years,” Lisa and Tom Georgalis said in an official statement. “We felt an immense sense of victory in our son surviving the accident and when the perfect location was presented to us we took it as a sign that it was time to finally bring our concept to life.”

Lisa Georgalis learned to cook from her Greek in-laws where she perfected traditional techniques and recipes. She believes Greek cooking is “an art form, an event and a delight not just for the palate” — but something that touches all five senses.

In the role of executive chef at Nikki, Lisa and Tom have chosen Chef Blake Andress to lead the culinary team. A DFW native, Chef Andress honed his skills in some of Dallas' most esteemed kitchens, such as Mister Charles and The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. Andress’ culinary philosophy centers around crafting lively dishes that showcase seasonal and natural ingredients, all while paying homage to genuine cuisine and culinary heritage.

“There’s something so powerful about food that allows us to connect with others, not only in our own backyards but across the globe,” Andress said. “Our goal with the menu at Nikki is to expose guests to flavors and presentations they’ve never experienced while also offering inventive takes on authentic Greek fare. On the menu, you’ll see inspiration from all regions of Greece including the islands, coastal mainland towns and interior regions of the country.”

Lisa and Tom also enlisted the expertise of Ricardo Torres from Estudio Ricardo Torres to collaborate on the design of Nikki's interior. The aesthetic of Nikki will deviate from the typical Mediterranean blue and white decor found in Greek restaurants, instead embracing an elevated, modern and chic ambiance. The color palette will encompass various shades of blue, green, terracotta, yellow and cream. The space will be adorned with unique ceiling treatments, 18th-century natural stone floors imported from an estate in Athens for the vestibule, as well as custom lighting and furnishings.

Nikki will welcome guests from Monday through Saturday for early evening and dinner service, with the lounge extending its hours for late-night drinks and snacks on Fridays and Saturdays. Complimentary valet parking will be provided for patrons' convenience.
