A new restaurant, The Alley, is slated to open where Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar previously sat in Addison, Texas.
According to the city of Addison, during Oct. 10, 2023 city council's meeting, 2023, it granted approval for a special use permit that will allow The Alley to occupy the vacant space. Situated just across the hall from the Improv, The Alley will regularly host various entertainment options, such as trivia, karaoke, live music, board game nights, as well as beer and wine tasting events.
Addison is slated to be the inaugural location for this innovative concept. However, the applicant possesses restaurant industry experience, having successfully operated a Wing Zone restaurant in Athens, Georgia.
In its initial phase, the full-service operation will operate exclusively from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., with future plans to introduce a lunch service. The Alley has not released a menu for the restaurant.
No official date is set for the new restaurant to open, but The Alley is expected to open sometime in December, according to the city.
The iconic Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar consistently brings in crowds of people ready to drink, sing and dance. The location moved to Frisco in 2022.
The new space features 5,400 square feet with seating for 300 and plenty of room for singing and dancing. The new location also upgraded its sound, lighting, audio and visual equipment to make the lively bar even better.
