Dallas wine and pizza shop, Leela’s Wine Bar, recently reopened its original, Lower Greenville location after closing back in July for renovations.
Elias Pope, the co-CEO of UNCO (the management company behind Leela’s), explained the changes that went into the revitalized restaurant and bar.
“We have maintained the charm of the original Leela’s and updated it with warmer tones throughout the restaurant,” said Pope. “Our back bar has also been refreshed taking elements from the newest Leela’s locations. It continues to be a welcoming space for our guests to relax and enjoy some delicious food and wine with friends and family.”
During the renovations, the beloved neighborhood eatery expanded its space to accommodate more patrons, raising the maximum capacity from 79 guests to 114. Additionally, Leela’s upstairs cocktail lounge was able to triple its max limit from 49 customers to 161.
Along with the revamped space, the Lower Greenville location also increased its menu offerings, which now feature a wider variety of wine and more appetizer options to go along with their signature Roman-style pizzas.
Among the new meal items that are now available include the Dip Trio (hummus, boursin and pimento); Spinach Dip served with crostinis; Buffalo Chicken Pizza (buffalo sauce, chicken, chives and topped with ranch); Fig & Prosciutto (bechamel, fig jam, prosciutto and arugula); and the Hot Honey (spicy marinara, pepperoni, jalapeños and hot honey drizzle).
“We are happy to reopen the original Leela’s and have another option for our guests to go to in addition to the Leela’s Uptown and Leela’s Trophy Club locations,” said Pope.
Leela’s freshly-renovated Dallas location can be found at 1914 Greenville Avenue, and is open Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
