The SAVOR Festival will soon be upon us, and there is a last-minute addition to its celebrity line-up. Omni just announced that Kurt Russell of Kurt Russell fame (and star of Tombstone, The Thing and The Hateful Eight) is coming to Frisco.
That’s right, Snake Plissken will be at the Southwest’s preeminent food, wine and lifestyle event. And if you attend, you might even be able to rub elbows with the Hollywood legend.
Update April 2 - 4:51 p.m.: It was first announced that Kurt Russell would be pouring his wine, but that has now changed. He will be participating in the golf tournament. The original story continues below.
But Russell won't be the only celeb on hand! The festival’s star power is on full display at the SAVOR Celebrity Golf Invitational on May 3 at the prestigious Fields Ranch West course. Designed by renowned architect Beau Welling, this 18-hole, par-72 course offers rolling terrain and breathtaking Texas landscapes. Golf enthusiasts will have the chance to tee off alongside Hollywood celebrities, television personalities and sports legends.
Confirmed participants include Entertainment Tonight co-host Nischelle Turner, Good Morning America co-host and NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, comedian and actor Rob Riggle, Chicago Fire star Jake Lockett, comedian and actor Anthony Anderson, actress and writer Aimee Garcia, former NFL star Jim Jeffcoat, Dennis Quaid and, of course, the legendary Kurt Russell.
Are Even More Celebs Coming?
Maybe! "There's a couple more that could be coming," Gus Tejeda, the resort’s director of sales and marketing, told Local Profile. "We haven't confirmed them as of yet, but in the next week they could be confirmed."
With limited availability, attendees are encouraged to secure tickets early. For more information and ticket purchases, visit the official event website.
