Knife Steakhouse at The Highland Dallas, recently announced it will re-introduce itself in January 2025 as Knife Steak & Seafood.
With the new restaurant, famed chef John Tasar is looking to create a more approachable version of Michelin Star restaurant Knife & Spoon, located at the Ritz Carlton, Orlando, Grande Lakes.
“After ten incredible years as Knife Steakhouse, it's time for a new adventure,” Tesar said in an official statement. “We're taking what we've learned over the past decade, combined with the successes from Knife & Spoon in Orlando, to create an updated offering that gives Dallas the Michelin-star experience it deserves, especially with the Guide now entering our city.”
Alongside Tesar’s renowned dry-aged program, guests can anticipate a selection of new seafood dishes inspired by favorites from Knife & Spoon in Orlando and Spoon Bar & Kitchen in Dallas. These dishes will be tailored to fit the Dallas location's atmosphere, offering a more affordable and accessible take on chef Tesar's successful creations from Orlando.
“Knife has been open for ten years, and while our business remains vibrant, it feels like the right time in my life to return to Knife and get back to its kitchen,” Tesar said. “With the launch of Knife Steak & Seafood, I want to reconnect with the restaurant and give back to the Dallas dining community that has supported me over the years.”
Knife Steakhouse fans can still savor their favorite dishes at the Plano location, which will remain open as Knife Steakhouse. For those seeking chef Tesar’s renowned dry-aged steaks alongside Italian-inspired cuisine, his new restaurant, Knife Italian Steak, at The Ritz Dallas, Las Colinas, is the ideal choice.
The opening of the new restaurant coincides with a $13 million renovation of The Highland Dallas, which will go under new management in November 2024. The renovation features a new guestroom, bathrooms and a complete renovation of the lobby.
In the restaurant, upgrades will include a sophisticated cocktail lounge from the bar to the lobby.
