Keith Lee, TikTok food-review star, is on a food-tasting tour and is currently making his way through North Texas restaurants — and Hutchins BBQ really blew him away.
Lee, a former MMA athlete, makes TikTok food reviews of mom-and-pop shops across the county, giving them the recognition they deserve. During the tour, he will also visit some of the more popular restaurants to see if they live up to the hype. For each restaurant, he orders takeout anonymously, eats it in his car and rates each item from 1 to 10.
And Hutchins BBQ was picked as a popular, must-visit spot. Lee’s first tried the restaurant’s Texas Twinkie — a bacon-wrapped cream cheese and brisket stuffed jalapeño — scoring an impressive 8.5.
“It’s goddamn delicious, that’s what it is,” Lee said on TikTok. “I 100% see why 17,000 people told me to come here.”
Lee then moved on to the pork ribs, which he said were some of the best he’s had in a long time, ranking them at a 9.5 rating. The brisket was also a favorite with a 9.3. The potato salad and sausage were not super impressive, with Lee ranking them a 5 and 6.
But the real star of the show was the peach cobbler, which Lee said was “f-–— phenomenal.”
Hutchins BBQ currently has two locations: Frisco and McKinney. Lee didn’t specify which location he visited, but it looks like he visited McKinney.

So far Lee visited Austin-based Terry Black's Barbecue and Thunderbird Pies, neither of which he scored high. But North Texas redeemed itself after Lee visited the ghost kitchen concept Halal Fusionz in Farmers Branch.
Lee’s North Texas food journey will continue for a couple of more days. Follow him here to keep up with his latest reviews.
