Grand Prairie To Get Its First Food Hall

The restaurant group will introduce its newest concept on Aug. 2, 2024

Serious Eats is set to open its doors, offering an irresistible trio of indulgences: delicious pizza slices, mouthwatering sliders and extravagant milkshakes, all complemented by a full-service bar. This new family-friendly hotspot in Grand Prairie is designed to satisfy everyone's cravings for bold flavors and generous portions.

Located at 2971 S. State Highway 161 within the lively EpicCentral entertainment complex, this micro-food hall features an interior wall that opens to the Jambox stage, where live music, watch parties and trivia nights are regularly hosted. Guests can also enjoy outdoor seating or have a picnic on the lawn with a prime view of the Vegas-style Illuvia fountain show every evening.

As a unique addition to the food hall scene, Serious Eats offers self-service kiosk ordering for all three of its food categories in one convenient location. This allows guests to craft their own custom experiences, whether it's building an outrageous pizza slice or a milkshake piled high with toppings, all through digital kiosks inside the food hall.

Serious Eats is set to celebrate its Grand Opening on Aug. 2, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce, live music for the whole family, giant games, face painting and exciting giveaways.

Milkshake Concepts, the parent company and hospitality powerhouse, is renowned for pushing the culinary envelope with its elevated yet approachable concepts. Notable examples include Vidorra Cocina de Mexico and The Finch American Grill, both of which have locations in EpicCentral. Additionally, Milkshake Concepts has achieved success with casual concepts like Serious Pizza, which boasts a cult-like following in Deep Ellum and served as the inspiration for Serious Eats.

“EpicCentral in Grand Prairie has played a major role in the growth of our company and our experiential concepts,” said Milkshake Concepts CEO Imran Sheikh in an official statement. “We’re thrilled to introduce both new and existing brands to this growing community and guests from all corners of the DFW Metroplex. We have had exciting plans for the Serious brand for some time, and we were very excited about building off our existing menu by adding fun sliders and extreme, over-the-top milkshakes that your phone will want to eat before you do!”

The food hall will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m., with alcohol service stopping at 2 a.m.
