With an annual population growth exceeding 10%, the town of Prosper has undergone significant transformations in recent times. Bill and Lovett Bayne are optimistic that their family-owned seafood brand, Fish City Grill, will seamlessly integrate into the burgeoning dining landscape of Prosper.

The newest location is the 23rd establishment of their company, and launched on Monday, Sept. 26, in The Gates of Prosper, situated just north of U.S. Highway 380. The opening coincides perfectly with National Seafood Month in Oct. Currently, the franchise has locations in Texas, Arkansas, Florida and Oklahoma, with plans for further expansion.

“We know that our Prosper neighbors will enjoy our casual, coastal dining experience and great quality seafood,” the restaurant’s co-founder Bill Bayne said. “We cannot wait to become real partners in the Prosper community.”

The latest Fish City Grill establishment encompasses around 3,200 square feet indoors, while offering additional seating options on the patio. Inside, the restaurant boasts a complete bar featuring a distinctive cocktail menu perfectly designed to complement its menu, crafted entirely from scratch, with seafood taking center stage. Patrons can explore daily fresh seafood specials showcased on the restaurant's chalkboard. Chalkboard offerings are exclusive to each Fish City Grill location and undergo two changes daily. To catch a glimpse of the chalkboard's current offerings, you can visit fishcitygrill.com/locations and access live chalkboard cameras.

The restaurant’s owners plan to be engaged with the Prosper community, actively supporting local nonprofits on a monthly basis through its "First Tuesday" program. In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Prosper branch will collaborate with the Tuman Breast Cancer Foundation for its "First Tuesday" event, which will take place on Oct. 3. 2023. On this day, 15% of all sales throughout the day will be donated to this local charity as a gesture of support.
