First Look: North Italia Opens At Galleria Dallas

The restaurant features delicious fare and a comforting atmosphere

North Italia, the modern Italian eatery known for its scratch-made dishes, seasonal menu items and craft cocktails, just opened its new location at Galleria Dallas — the third in North Texas.

While visiting the new location during a pre-opening event, we can confirm the restaurant is set to impress.

The one-of-a-kind triangular restaurant features a valet drop-off point, as well as indoor and outdoor dining options, including a generously sized bar and a patio accommodating over 100 guests. The restaurant also features two unique, Dallas-inspired murals.

Under the guidance of Executive Chef Austin Brown and General Manager Brynn Howard, the skilled team is ready to host guests, inviting them to savor the delights of the latest North Italia location.

We began our visit with several signature cocktails, which were both deliciously refreshing: the white lotus and the vendi vidi vici. Our appetizer, the white truffle garlic bread with house-made ricotta, mozzarella, grana padano and herbs was perfectly cheesy and crispy.

Moving on to the second course, we enjoyed the seasonal anolini — the pillowy pasta is filled with shiitake mushrooms and finished with crispy bread crumbs and a sweet balsamic glaze. The braised short rib was also a winner (and our server's personal favorite), paired with grilled asparagus, heirloom carrot, roasted fennel and garlicky mascarpone polenta.

For dessert, we shared the bombolini, an Italian donut that can be compared to a sopapilla, with vanilla budino and drizzled with strawberry coulis.
