Chef-Driven Sports Bar To Open In Frisco, Texas

FANZO will open in early 2024

FANZO Sports Bar, serving as the latest hub for Dallas sports enthusiasts, recently revealed its plans to launch in Frisco in early 2024. Spanning 4,200 square feet at 5977 Preston Rd., the entertainment venue is set to become an ideal location for post-holiday get-togethers, allowing guests to support their favorite teams.

Designed by Coeval Studio, the space will feature leather chairs, modern barstools and a mezzanine lounge area for guests' comfort. The venue will also boast multiple screens, including a 20-foot-high video wall behind the bar, ensuring optimal viewing for all sporting events. The covered outdoor patio will feature two 65-inch TVs and accommodate nearly 40 guests.

FANZO’s menu will feature elevated bar fare with a diverse and globally inspired touch, courtesy of Beat Bobby Flay winner, Chef Vijay Sadhu. Collaborating with the FANZO Hospitality group, Chef Sadhu crafted unique offerings such as the Jamaican Lamb Shank Stew, accompanied by rice and crispy fried onions, and the iconic FANZO Fried Chicken (FFC), served with tikka masala sauce and spicy fries. For a sweet conclusion, guests can indulge in the Old Monk Rum Bread Pudding, featuring candied pecans, crème anglaise and vanilla ice cream.

To complement the dishes, FANZO offers a range of classic and craft cocktails, including the FANZO Old Fashioned, FANZO 75, Green Goddess with mezcal, cucumber puree, ancho chiles, and the Golden Lassi featuring Lockwood pineapple rum, Monin syrup, house-made turmeric syrup, mango puree, coconut yogurt and a splash of bubbles. Chef Vijay Sadhu and acclaimed Dallas mixologist Brian McCullough collaborated on the cocktail menu, infusing vodka with spices from around the world.

“Sports fans are not a monolith, and we wanted to create a concept that reflected that diversity,” said Chef Vijay Sadhu in an official statement. “FANZO offers an elegant and lively atmosphere boasting a menu that diverges from the ordinary offerings of a typical sports bar. We knew Frisco would be an ideal place for us to establish ourselves and are excited to be a part of this vibrant community.”

FANZO Sports Bar will welcome guests from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Monday to Thursday, extending its hours to 2 a.m. on Fridays, and opening at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays until 2 a.m. The establishment will also feature enticing happy hour specials from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday through Friday.
