Frisco, Texas Ranks Among Best Places To Live For Families

According to a study by Fortune, Frisco, Texas ranked No. 13 among the best places for families to live. The study attributes the high ranking to Frisco’s friendly community feel, access to high-quality healthcare, plus entertainment and educational opportunities as assets.

According to Fortune, Frisco exudes Southern hospitality and charm, offering a friendly community atmosphere just 25 minutes from the vibrant city life of Dallas. One of Frisco's greatest assets is its abundance of parks, boasting over 50 small neighborhood and larger community parks that cater to activities like disc golf and fishing.

Frisco boasts a robust healthcare market, home to notable organizations such as Careington International, HCA Healthcare Center for Clinical Advancement and Addus HomeCare, which is currently expanding through a $350 million acquisition. More than half of the patients recommend 38 hospitals within a 25-mile radius, making them some of the highest-rated facilities on the list. This thriving healthcare sector benefits both job seekers in the industry and retirees.

Frisco provides abundant educational and recreational opportunities for children. The city is home to some of the finest public and private schools in the region, boasting a high school graduation rate of 98%, among the highest in the area. Kids can enjoy attractions like Riders Field ballpark, featuring a Lazy River, and the National Soccer Hall of Fame. However, Frisco is perhaps best known for The Star, the 91-acre world headquarters and practice facility of the Dallas Cowboys, where fans can interact with their favorite football team.

In 2022, the median sale price for single-family residences in Frisco was $687,357, while the median household income was $143,263. The study also showed that current residents of Frisco are composed of 25% Asian, 9.2% Black, 12.3% Hispanic and 50.9% white.
