The Frisco Fire Department is hosting their Jr. Citizen’s Fire Academy (CFA) this June. Students currently in the 6th, 7th or 8th grades who live in Frisco or attend Frisco ISD schools can attend the camp free of charge.

Class attendees enjoy fun drills and challenges that simulate what a real firefighter would do in the course of a day’s work. Students are actively engaged as part of a company and participate in educational activities throughout the day. It’s a great opportunity to make new friends from across Frisco and learn about the fire service.

Session 1 takes place June 10-14 and Session 2 will take place June 17-21. This program is intended for students who have not previously participated in Frisco's Jr. CFA program.

The academy is one week long and will take place at Central Fire Station/Safety Town, 8601 Gary Burns Dr. in Frisco. The hours are:

  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday
  • 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday

A graduation ceremony, which parents are invited to attend, will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday. Class attendees will also receive a complimentary shirt and water bottle.

The application period will open on April 1, 2024. Questions can be submitted by email.
