The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) recently received a $250,000 donation from the Hillcrest Foundation, with Bank of America, N.A. serving as Co-Trustee. This grant will support 10 of NTFB's feeding partners, enabling them to expand their services and provide additional assistance to North Texans experiencing hunger.

The funding will allow several food pantries and organizations to acquire essential refrigeration, equipment and vehicles, significantly increasing their ability to serve more neighbors facing hunger. These beneficiaries include Amazing Grace Food Pantry, Boys and Girls Club Denison, Community Garden Kitchen of Collin County, Dallas Bible Church, Empowering the Masses, Good Samaritans of Garland, Hope For You, Hope to Go Food Pantry (Mildred Baptist Church, Corsicana), Renovacion Iglesia de Nazareno and White Rock Center of Hope.

“We are truly grateful for the investment in our feeding partners, as it directly transforms the lives of our neighbors in need,” said  North Texas Food Bank President and CEO Trisha Cunningham in an official statement. “The support of organizations like the Hillcrest Foundation makes this possible.”

Established in 1958 by Mrs. W.W. Caruth, Sr., the Hillcrest Foundation has a longstanding commitment to supporting charitable organizations focused on education, health and poverty relief in Texas, with most grants benefiting charities in Dallas County and nearby regions.

“We are honored to partner with the North Texas Food Bank in their mission to eliminate hunger in our region,” said Senior Vice President, Philanthropic Client Manager at Bank of America Kelly Garlock. “We have always admired the organization’s profound impact and are grateful for the opportunity to support smaller agencies in this crucial fight.”
