North Texas residents looking to participate in the season of giving will get their chance to do just that when the giving machine initiative comes to Frisco, McKinney and Grapevine.
In 2023, giving machines collected $10.4 million in donations across 61 locations in seven countries. Since their launch in 2017, these machines have attracted over 2 million visitors and facilitated donations totaling more than $32 million.
What is a Giving Machine?
The red vending machines enable users to donate items such as clothing, baby supplies, medicine and even goats to those in need. By swiping a card, people can contribute items ranging from $5 to $150, providing essential resources for others. All donations go directly to the participating charities.
These giving machines are part of the Light the World holiday campaign, offering an immediate way to give back. Unlike traditional vending machines that dispense snacks, the giving machines allow users to support vital causes through their contributions.
How To Give
To participate, residents simply swipe their credit cards on one of these unique machines and choose from a variety of donation options, including food, clean water, medical care, clothing, education support, hygiene kits and more.

Local Impact
Lovepacs, a charity based in Frisco — dedicated to providing meals for hungry children throughout North Texas — will be featured in the 2024 giving machines.
“For children and their families to be able to go to the machine and select an item, knowing that item will go back to blessing someone in the community is such an amazing thing,” Lovepacs Executive Director Autumn Chavez said. “What a cool concept!”
