The patriotic concert, sponsored by the Allen Senior Recreation Center and the Allen Public Library, features the New Horizons Band and a presentation of colors by VFW Post 2195. Directed by Lorenzo Parker and with vocals by Billy Bonner, the band will perform American classics such as Sousa's "The Black Horse Troop March" and Lovrien's "Texas Star March." The event offers a chance to honor our nation's heroes.

On May 25, 2024, the Wall of Honor will witness the induction of new names, perpetuating the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their nation. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is dedicated to bringing the joy of music to the community. For over 25 years, they've hosted Symphony in the Parks events across Dallas. This Memorial Day, attendees can enjoy a special performance featuring The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” and The U.S. Army Chorus from Washington, DC. The event will feature patriotic favorites and a fireworks finale suitable for the entire family. The event will be held at Flag Pole Hill Park, with a rain location at the Morton H.
