Holiday Events Announced For Frisco, Texas

North Texans can enjoy a variety of attractions, including holiday light shows, merry performances, a festive fun run and more

With Christmas around the corner, Visit Frisco announced several events that will be taking place in the city throughout the holiday season.

The Light Park at Rider's Field

Where: Rider's Field 
When: Now - Jan. 1, 2024

Running from now through Jan. 1 is The Light Park at Rider's Field, which gives Frisco residents the opportunity to enjoy over one million stunning lights from the comfort and convenience of their vehicles. Refreshments — such as popcorn, candy, sodas, water and light-up lemonade — will be available on-site for purchase to make the experience just that much sweeter.

Cowboys Christmas Extravaganza

Where: Ford Center at The Star
When: Nov. 17 - Dec. 16, 2023

Festive football fans are in for a treat as the Dallas Cowboys are set to host their Cowboys Christmas Extravaganza every Friday and Saturday between Nov. 17 and Dec. 16. Taking place at Ford Center at The Star, the event features such attractions like a 67-foot Christmas tree, electrifying performances from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, a special guest appearance from Old Saint Nick himself and more.

Christmas in the Square

Where: Frisco Square
When: Nov. 18, 2023 - Jan. 8, 2024

Taking place from Nov. 18 through Jan. 8 is Christmas in the Square, one of the largest choreographed light and music displays in North Texas. The Frisco Square event features more than 175,000 lights, merry music, an outdoor skating rink, a Christmas tree lot, among other sights and activities.

Home On The Range For The Holidays

Where: PGA Frisco
When: Every Friday and Saturday in December 

Every Friday and Saturday throughout the month of December will see PGA Frisco hosting its Home On The Range For The Holidays. The weekly event offers a flurry of family-friendly activities like ornament decorating, tree lightings, cozy outdoor movies, rides on the Fields Ranch Holiday Express Train, visits with real-life reindeer and more.

More Activities 

Looking to get more active this holiday season? North Texans should consider signing up for Frisco’s annual Frosty 5K & Merry Mile, a marathon event where participants can don their merriest activewear or costumes and enjoy a fun run to the finishing line. The run is set to occur on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Finally, also happening on Dec. 2, is Play Frisco’s Merry Main Street event at Simpson Plaza. The event will feature a holiday gift market, food vendors, school choir performances, a “Santa & Friends” parade, as well as the lighting of The City of Frisco Christmas Tree in front of the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center.
