2024 Events Announced For Addison, Texas

Addison is known for its over-the-top festivities such as Kaboom Town and Addison Oktoberfest, but that’s not all the town has planned for this new year. 

“Addison is known as the place to gather and celebrate with great music, food and fun — it’s where memories happen,” Visit Addison said in a statement. “The Town’s legendary special events attract tens of thousands of people to North Texas with talented musical guests, memorable visual displays, dancing and more.”

Mark your calendars because here is what’s happening in Addison in 2024:

Total Eclipse of the Park

When: April 8, 2024
Where: Addison Circle Park

Stargazers of all levels are encouraged to grab their blankets, lawn chairs and coolers and participate in daylong activities including yoga in the park, live music, food trucks and much more. It all culminates with a chance to view the total solar eclipse at 1:40 p.m.  

Taste Addison

When: May 31 - June 2, 2024

This year, Taste Addison will highlight the town’s diverse array of food, drink and entertainment. Since 1993, the culinary festival has brought renowned restaurants to one central location for guests to sample and enjoy. Families can spend time viewing art and shopping from local vendors. Beer, wine and spirits will also be available for purchase. 

Addison Kaboom Town!

When: July 3, 2024

Kaboom Town paints the sky with a display of aircraft and lights up the night with sparks. This spectacular event, featuring nationally acclaimed fireworks and an air show, marks the commencement of Independence Day festivities. The townwide celebration includes watch parties stretching from Addison Circle Park to over 200 restaurants, creating a vibrant and communal atmosphere. 

Addison Oktoberfest

Immerse yourself in the authentic Bavarian celebration with a Texan flair. For over 35 years, revelers have embraced the festivities, adorned in lederhosen or simply embracing their own style, to partake in a four-day celebration of German culture, cuisine, music, and, of course,  beer. Cheers to the lively sounds of polka bands and various entertainers across multiple stages in Addison Circle Park, engaging in special games tailored for beer enthusiasts, kids of all ages, dachshund lovers and more. Don't forget to bring your canine companion for Sunday Hund-day. Lift your preferred stein and declare, "Prost, Y'all!"
