Nineteen-year-old Plano local singer GAYLE joined Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour as an opening act, and this weekend, the singer will be onsite at Galleria Dallas for a free appearance and mini-set.
On Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Lucky Brand will host GAYLE for a meet and greet, as well as a 30-minute acoustic set at 2 p.m. Everything will take place in store, but in order to meet GAYLE, you must RSVP here.
Guests will also receive a free gift with purchase during the event. GAYLE previously partnered with Lucky Brand for activations, including Coachella, and is currently an ambassador.
Local Profile previously reported that the singer’s TikTok fame landed her on the prestigious Apple Music’s Top Songs of 2022. Taylor Gayle Rutherford, better known as GAYLE, was featured on the list after her song “abcdefu” blew up across social media, Apple Music and Spotify. She now resides in the music city of Nashville but grew up in North Texas.
GAYLE’s music includes pop with a touch of alternative rock and pop rock. She played her songs across the U.S. when she opened for multiple dates during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. The singer had the opportunity to share the stage with other big names such as Phoebe Bridgers, HAIM, Paramore and several others.
The artist is no one-hit-wonder. GAYLE released the album the study of the human experience volume one and two in October 2022, which features the songs “indieedgycool,” “snow angels” and several others. The singer is currently on tour and is slated to play in Dallas on Oct. 20, 2023, at The Studio at The Factory.
