The 2024 PGA High School Golf National Invitational, presented by Titleist & FootJoy, kicks off next week at PGA Frisco, featuring the top high school golfers nationwide. The boys invitational runs from July 1-3, followed by the girls invitational from July 8-10.
This prestigious tournament, now in its second consecutive year at PGA Frisco and the sixth edition since its inception in 2019, will showcase over 500 competitors. These golfers earned their spots by winning their respective high school state championships, whether as individuals or part of a team, from schools large and small, private and public.
The boys invitational will be played on the Fields Ranch East and West courses at PGA Frisco and West Ridge Golf Course in McKinney. The Girls Invitational will take place on Fields Ranch West, West Ridge Golf Course and Gentle Creek Country Club in Prosper.
Among the competitors are 55 golfers from Texas, including Tarini Bhoga of Frisco Centennial High School, who won the 2024 5A Girls Individual State Championship in May. Bhoga is returning to the Invitational, adding local excitement to the event.
Charles Beeson of Rivers Academy in Georgia will return to defend his individual medalist title after a stellar performance last year, where he finished 5-under-par 211. The winning teams from the 2023 event will also be back to defend their titles: Texas (RGN) for the girls, who finished at 60-over-par 920 and Georgia (RVA) for the boys, with a score of 15-over-par 879.
The 2024 Invitational promises intense competition, with champions being crowned after a three-day, 54-hole stroke-play event. The boys’ and girls’ medalists will receive exemptions into the 2024 Junior PGA Championships at Congressional Country Club and the 2025 North & South Junior Championship at Pinehurst Resort.
