Egg prices may be through the roof, but thankfully plastic eggs are available in abundance this Easter. So gather the little ones, grab those baskets and prepare for some Easter fun. Whether they’re finding eggs or just finding new ways to get grass stains, it’s all part of the holiday magic.

Hop, skip or full-on sprint over to these Easter activities in Collin County and beyond — because nothing says “family fun” like watching kids unleash their competitive side over candy-filled eggs.

Aqua Egg Hunt at the Frisco Athletic Center

The Aqua Egg Hunt is a beloved tradition, turning the classic egg hunt into a splashing good time. Kids can dive in, scoop up floating eggs and enjoy a fun-filled event designed for ages two to ten. Each egg hunter receives a photo with the Easter Bunny, a temporary tattoo, a goody bag, an FAC Day Pass and all the eggs they collect. Tickets are available by age group and timeslot, with pricing set at $17 for residents and $23 for non-residents. The FAC provides mesh bags for collecting eggs in the water, returned at exit, making for a hassle-free and exciting adventure. 


Farmstead Eggstravaganza

Celebrate spring at this family-friendly event featuring an egg hunt with thousands of prize-filled eggs for children 10 and under. Enjoy a day on the Blackland Prairie with sheep shearing, a sheep-to-shawl demonstration and a special photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. The Dallas Handweavers and Spinner Guild will showcase wool and fiber processing, weaving and more, while Holman Pottery will demonstrate their craft with unique, handcrafted pieces on display. Grab a bite from The Egg Stand – Burger Food Truck, known for its famous egg burgers, or pick up fresh produce from Georgia’s Farmer’s Market. Live entertainment includes performances by ScottSound Banjo Jam and North 40 Storytellers in the historic Pole Barn. Plus, don’t miss this year’s new Golden Egg Scavenger Hunt — find all 12 golden eggs hidden throughout the Farmstead to win a prize.


VSF Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The festivities kick off with activities, games and sugar-fueled excitement, all leading up to the main event at 2:30 p.m., where kids will scramble like their Easter morning depends on it. And of course, the guest of honor, the Easter Bunny, will be there for photos, so bring your camera and your best “I’m-not-terrified-of-this-giant-rabbit” smile.


Easter Egg Hound Hunt

Bring your four-legged besties to Oak Point Nature Preserve for an Easter Egg Hunt built for Sherlock Bones. Watch as your pup puts their super-sniffer to the test, tracking down treat-filled eggs for a paws-itively good time. For everyone’s safety (and to prevent any egg-related turf wars), please keep your dogs on non-retractable leashes and under control at all times. Proof of a current rabies tag is required — because while we love enthusiasm, we prefer it without the bite. 


Spring Eggstravaganza

Bring the kids for a fun-filled day of egg hunting, where they’ll collect eggs packed with candy and prizes. Peter Rabbit will be making a special appearance — don’t miss the chance to snap a photo with him and create a festive Easter craft. Head over to the entertainment zone to zoom down giant slides, tackle the obstacle course and enjoy classic lawn games. Plus, get up close with adorable animals in the petting zoo. Tickets are only needed for the egg hunt; all other activities are free.

Celebrate the season with the return of our beloved Egg Run, along with a variety of springtime activities the whole family will enjoy. The Egg Run is $10 per child, and registration is required. Looking to meet the Easter Bunny? Visit NFM from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the event. Hop aboard the Grandscape trolley for a fun ride from the event space to NFM for a photo with the Bunny. If you miss him on event day, don’t worry — he’ll be back at NFM on April 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.!

Hop over to PGA Frisco’s second annual Easter Eggstravaganza, benefiting Make-A-Wish North Texas, for a day packed with springtime fun. Hunt for eggs at your own pace, complete your scavenger hunt card and score an Eggmazing machine — yes, the one from Shark Tank! Snap a photo with the Easter Bunny, cuddle adorable animals at the petting zoo (featuring everything from bunnies to a mini horse) and fill your basket with Easter goodies. Just don’t wait too long. The fun won’t last forever, and neither will the eggs.
